Coliseum Poker

Description and Objective

Coliseum Poker Screenshot

Coliseum Poker is video poker with a Progressive Jackpot option! To win the Jackpot you will need to place the maximum bet of 5 coins and obtain a Royal Flush.

1.3% of each bet placed in the game is added to a common pot. After a Jackpot has been won, a new pot is started, with the casino contributing a base amount of money. This ensures that even if you get a Jackpot result in the game right after someone else has won it, you will still get a large win.

Multi-Line Coliseum Poker

Multi-Line Coliseum Poker is played with multiple decks, each consisting of 52 cards. The number of decks is the same as the number of hands involved in the game. It differs from the standard Coliseum Poker in that it has several lines of cards. Each line makes use of a different deck and each line is treated as a separate hand. When several hands are won, your winnings are totalled.

Single-Line Game Rules

To start playing the game, you first need to place a bet.

  • Select the number of coins to wager by clicking on the Bet One button. Each time you click on Bet One, the wager is increased by one coin. The column of the pay table that corresponds to the chosen number of coins is highlighted.
  • The value of one coin is fixed and is displayed in the Value field.
  • The total bet value is shown in the Bet field and equals (Coin Value) x (Number of coins wagered).

Note: To play for the Jackpot you need to place the maximum bet of 5 coins.

  • Click on the Deal button to initiate dealing.
  • To place the maximum bet of 5 coins, use the Bet Max button. Clicking on Bet Max starts dealing immediately.

Once Deal or Bet Max is clicked, five cards are dealt. The Deal control is replaced by a Draw button.

  • Select the cards that you want to keep, or 'hold' (if there are any). Cards are held by clicking on them. Once clicked, a HOLD marker appears over the card. The second click removes the marker.

Note: Cards that form any winning combination are held automatically.

  • Click on Draw to replace the cards you don't want to hold. After being replaced, the cards are checked for any winning hand, as listed in the pay table.
  • Your win amount is displayed in the Win field. Your win is equal to the selected coin value multiplied by the hand payout from the paytable.

If you have a winning poker hand, you can either Double (see Doubling Round Rules) or Collect your win.

Multi-Line Game Rules

To start playing, you first need to place a bet.

  • The value of one coin is fixed and displayed in the Unit Stake (Coin Value) field.
  • Select the number of coins to wager by clicking on the Bet One button. Each time you click on Bet One, the wager is increased by one coin. You may increase or decrease the number of coins with + and -, above the Bet One button. The Coins field displays the number of coins you are going to wager.
  • The total bet value is shown in the Bet field and equals (Coin Value) x (Number of Coins) x (Number of Lines).
  • Click on the Deal button to initiate dealing.
  • To place a maximum bet of five coins, use the Bet Max button. Once Bet Max is clicked, dealing starts immediately.
  • To view the payout table, click on the Paytable button. The column of the payout table that corresponds to the chosen number of coins is highlighted. To close the payout table click on the Paytable button again.

Once Deal or Bet Max is clicked, five cards in the lower row are revealed. The Deal button is replaced by Draw.

  • Select the cards you wish to keep, or 'hold' (if there are any). Choose the cards you want to hold by clicking on the Hold button below the required card or clicking on the card itself. A second click removes the HOLD marker. Held cards are used across all the lines of cards.

Note: Cards forming any winning combination are held automatically.

  • Click on Draw to replace the cards you don't wish to hold. After being replaced, the cards are checked for any winning combinations, as listed in the payout table. Winning hands are highlighted.
  • The Win field displays your total winning amount. If several winning hands are formed, their winnings are totalled. Winnings for each hand equal the coin value multiplied by the payout listed for this hand in the payout table.

If you have a winning poker hand, you can either try to increase your winnings in the doubling bonus round or Collect your win.

Doubling Round Rules

If you have a winning poker hand, you can increase your winnings by participating in the doubling bonus round. Your objective is to draw a card of higher value than the Dealer's.

  • Click on the Double button to use your previous hand's winning amount as your bet.
  • If the option is available, you can use the Double Half button to bet half of your winning amount for doubling. The remainder will be deposited to your balance.

The Dealer draws a face-up card and you are dealt 4 face-down cards to select from.

  • Select one of the 4 face-down cards by clicking it.

    a) Should you draw a card of higher value than the Dealer's, your win amount is doubled and you can choose either to double again or collect your winnings. If you draw a card of value equal to the Dealer's, your win amount remains the same but you can choose either to double again or collect your winnings. You are allowed to double up to 5 times.

    b) If you choose a card of lower value than the Dealer's, you lose your original bet and the playoff round is over.

Progressive Jackpot

One of the possible wins in this game is a progressive Jackpot. 1.3% of each bet placed in the game is added to a common pot. To win the Jackpot you need to obtain a Royal Flush, having placed the maximum bet of 5 coins.

After a Jackpot has been won, a new pot is started, with the casino contributing a base amount of money. This ensures that even if you get a Jackpot result in the game right after someone else has won it, you will still get a large win.
